UM holds In-house Staff Training on “The Relationship between the Quality of Life in Mainland China and Macao”, “One Country, Two Systems Theory” and “The Impact of Financial Technology and the Metaverse on Higher Education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”

In order to enhance UM staff members’ understanding of the nation, the Human Resources Section of the Office of Administration organized in-house training courses on “The Relationship between the Quality of Life in Mainland China and Macao”, “One Country, Two Systems Theory” and “The Impact of Financial Technology and the Metaverse on Higher Education in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” on 11 November and 23 November 2022 respectively.

Prof. XU Jianhua, Head of Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), shared charts and data related to quality of life and carried out the analyses and comparison between Mainland China and Macao in the context of economic development and quality of life in the past, present and future. Over 105 staff members participated.

Prof. LOK Wai Kin, Director of the Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies (FLL), shared the accurate definition and core contents of the “One Country, Two Systems”. He highlighted that this policy described our mode of living. He also emphasized that the harmony between “One Country” and “Two Systems” was crucial for the social stability and economic development of the Macao SAR, and for the well-being of Macao residents. Over 70 staff members participated.

Prof. Jerome YEN, Head of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI) and Distinguish Professor of FST, shared the origin of Metaverse and the technology applied. He also introduced the challenge of application of metaverse in higher education. Over 80 staff members participated.

The University hopes that these training courses can enhance staff members’ national knowledge, understanding more about the social situation in Mainland China, the core contents of “One Country, Two Systems” and introduction of the latest technology update and application in higher education in Mainland China, in order to promote patriotism and strengthen their national pride.

為增強大學教職員對國家的認識,行政部人力資源處於2022年11月11日及11月23日舉辦了「內地與澳門生活素質的關係」、「一國兩制與我」及「粵港澳大灣區金融科技與元宇宙對高等教育的影響」內部培訓課程。

社會科學學院社會學系系主任徐建華教授向同事們分享了關於生活素質的各項數據,從而分析及比較內地與澳門在過去、現在與將來在經濟民生上的發展。超過105名員工參與此課程。

法學院憲法與基本法研究中心主任駱偉建教授分享“一國兩制”的構想並讓員工對“一國兩制”有全面且準確的認知。駱教授指出“一國兩制”是我們的生活方式,強調和諧的中央與特區關係對社會穩定、經濟發展及民生至關重要。超過70名員工參與此課程。
協同創新研究院創新創業中心主任及科技學院特聘教授顏至宏教授向同事們分享了元宇宙的緣起及所使用的科技,並指出元宇宙高等教育的於內地的挑戰。超過80名員工參與此課程。

大學希望透過培訓課程加強員工對國家的認識,加深員工對中國內地社會現況的了解,“一國兩制”的構想,分享最新科技發展及內地元宇宙教育的應用,弘揚愛國愛澳精神,並增強員工的民族自豪感及家國情懷。
