In order to enhance UM staff members’ understanding of the core principles underlying “One Country, Two Systems”, the Human Resources Section of the Office of Administration organised an in-house training course on the above-mentioned topic at the Mr. and Mrs. Lau Chor Tak Lecture Theatre in the Anthony Lau Building on 28 April 2021. Prof. LOK Wai Kin of Faculty of Law (FLL), who is also Director of the Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies, was invited to explain how this policy relates to our lives in the Macao SAR. Over 110 senior administrative officers participated in the training.

Prof. LOK shared the accurate definition and core contents of the “One Country, Two Systems”. He highlighted that this policy described our mode of living, and also emphasized that the harmony between “One Country” and “Two Systems” was crucial for the social stability and economic development of the Macao SAR, and for the well-being of Macao residents.

The University hopes that through this training, staff will strengthen their patriotism and make contributions to preserving social stability and harmony by supporting the implementation of “One Country, Two Systems”.
