UM Holds In-house Staff Training on “Development Opportunities of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin”, “The Principles of “People of Macao Governing Macao” and “Patriots Governing Macao”” and “Name, Chronicle, Capital and Anthem of the People’s Republic of China”

In order to enhance UM staff members’ understanding of the nation, the Human Resources Section of the Office of Administration organized in-house training courses on “Development Opportunities of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin”, “The Principles of “People of Macao Governing Macao” and “Patriots Governing Macao”” and “Name, Chronicle, Capital and Anthem of the People’s Republic of China” on 11 October, 8 November and 29 November 2023 respectively.

Prof. XU Jianhua, Associate Professor of Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), shared the framework construction and current situation of the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, as well as opportunities and challenges of the In-depth Zone. Around 110 colleagues attended the training.

Dr. KONG Wa, Senior Instructor of Faculty of Law (FLL), explained the meaning of “People of Macao Governing Macao” and “Patriots Governing Macao” and shared about the implementations and enhancement of these principles. Over 110 colleagues attended the training.

Dr. KONG also introduced the history of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China, including the decision of the national name, chronicle, capital and anthem, as well as the meaning of stipulating the national symbol under the Constitutional Law. Nearly 80 colleagues attended the training.

The University hopes that these training courses can enhance staff members’ understanding of national security, share with them some core principles embodied in the Basic Law, strengthen their knowledge on the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, and arouse their interest in the meaning of national symbol, promoting patriotism and national pride.

為增強大學教職員對國家的認識，行政部人力資源處於2023年10月11日、11月8日及11月29日分別舉辦了「橫琴粵澳深度合作區的發展機遇」、「澳人治澳與愛國者治澳原則」及「認識中國的國號、紀年、國都與國歌」內部培訓課程。

社會科學學院副教授徐建華教授介紹了橫琴粵澳深度合作區的頂層設計構想、現狀、未來的機遇及挑戰 。約110名員工參與此培訓。

法學院高級導師江華博士向員工解釋了「澳人治澳」與「愛國者治澳」原則的內涵，並分享了相關原則的落實與完善。超過110名員工參與此培訓。

江博士亦另外介紹了中華人民共和國的建國歷史，包括國號、紀年、國都與國歌的決議，以及在憲法規定下國家象徵的意義。約80名員工參與是次課程。

大學希望透過上述培訓課程加強員工對國家安全的認識，向他們分享體現在基本法中的重要原則，提升其對橫琴粵澳深度合作區的瞭解，以及提升他們對國家象徵意義的興趣，弘揚愛國愛澳精神，增強他們的民族自豪感及家國情懷。
