UM Holds Online Seminar on “Clean Election”

The University of Macau (UM) held an online seminar on “Clean Election” on 25 August 2021 (Wednesday), with two invited speakers from the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC), Mr. FONG Pak Ian, Consultant, and Ms. LEUNG Mei Meng, Senior Technician. The seminar received an overwhelming response, with a total of 287 staff members and 78 students participated.

During the seminar, speakers from CCAC presented important information on clean election, including the obligation of neutrality, the definition and relevant laws of bribery at elections, the responsibilities among civil servants, the obligation of declaration of legal persons or candidates, and the obligation of special cooperation. They also answered questions and clarified enquiries for the audience.

The University hopes that this online seminar can arouse the awareness of staff members and students in the importance of clean election, as well as their rights and obligations as voters.

澳門大學於2021年8月25日(星期三)舉辦了「廉潔選舉」線上講座,邀請了廉政公署顧問馮伯恩先生與高級技術員梁美明女士擔任主講。是次講座的反應熱烈,吸引了287名教職員及78名學生參與。

廉政公署講者於講座上向澳大教職員及學生介紹了關於廉潔選舉的重要資訊,包括中立義務、賄選的定義與相關法律、公務員的責任規定、法人/候選人的申報義務、特別合作義務等,並清晰地向聽眾解答了一系列相關提問。

大學希望透過是次講座,讓教職員及學生能更進一步意識到廉潔選舉的重要性,並且瞭解其作為選民的權利和義務。
